Our store isn’t new. It has a long history under a different name, once tucked away in another part of town before moving to its current home. In 2024, we stepped in just as it was about to shut down — one of the last of its kind. What we found when we took over was something special: shelf after shelf of manga and novels, stacked high in every direction. The collection was so vast, we still haven’t been able to count it all. It felt like opening a time capsule filled with decades of love for storytelling.

Today, we’re proud to say this is the last remaining manga rental store, and the only one we know of that still rents out Chinese-translated Japanese manga and novels. It’s a service that once flourished, and we believe it still matters — especially to those who grew up with it, and to new readers who are just discovering the joy of renting books the old-fashioned way.
